Seeing that I have been sick all week, I have been in bed working endlessly on homework assignments and projects. FINALLY I am caught up; but most likely will not be going anywhere seeing that I have a bug/ flu.
So I figured I would post some of the things I have been working on. I feel like I produced a lot, even though I haven’t really done a lot. My head is throbbing.
Design concept for class

Green Energy Logo Mockup + Bcards

Western Wines Logo Concept

and FINALLY, Aquarium World Mockup Concept

On top of 7 other sociology assignments, 3 posters, 2 midterms. Being sick allows me to stay awake at all hours of the night and do endless hours of work. So I guess it works out, seeing that I have been able to finish up everything. I feel guilty being out. Then again don’t want to spread the flu around/ get anyone else sick/ suffer through something. I am one of the few people who probably enjoy class. I don’t want to be here sick. Thankfully my assignments were all for the most part take home and I could send most of it through the computer.
As an adventurous sewer, I am always looking for the softest fabrics for my plush animals and creatures. For the past year or so, I purchased strictly fleece. However after numerous comments on a fabric labeled “Minky” I wanted to try it and see it myself. I ordered it about a week ago and just received my order today, and by gosh- it is the softest, smoothest fabric I have ever purchased.
The main reason I purchased it is because my Dentist basically commissioned me to; so I wanted to order him the “best of the best” as stated by many other followers of Minky. I have yet to actually work with the fabric, but the quality of it is incredible, by far the best I have ever seen in fabric. I know for me, it is hard to find fabric stores in the area that sell high quality fabric. Most of the stores don’t carry a wide variety of fabric, and the ones they do carry fall apart.
I figured I would share this website for other craftsters and sewers.
As somebody who enjoys crafts and sewing, I found this blog while searching up tutorials and patterns for plush animals. Whenever I find something that inspires me, I feel that need to want to share it with others. I found this blog has incredible crafts and ideas for people of all ages; including children.
Some methods I truly feel strong in; I believe every designer should have a creative process to help keep themselves and their clients organized. So to help promote my own concepts and ideas, I decided on creating some “sliders” for my website to showcase some of my concepts and feelings towards design.
Smashing magazine has always been an inspiration for me; the tips they give are incredible, not to mention many of the subjects they speak about in their articles I can relate to. For any artist/ designer, I would recommend checking out SM.
The Tylonproducts inspiration blog; Design Inspires, is a blog dedicated to spreading around inspirational designs and images for designers and artists alike.
The official Tylonproducts motto has always been
“Where imagination becomes reality”
However starting today, the realities of Tylonproducts are not exactly always expressed properly. The resources available to the designer are incredible; and often many of them are not noticed or looked upon.
I want to change that. I want people to know what is out there.
